As the decade shifts and cocaine and excess take hold, the tight-knit found family assembled around the director begins to fragment under the weight of addiction, violence, and changing tastes in the industry. The film traces both the dizzying ascent and painful decline of its protagonist, exploring themes of ambition, belonging, and the hollowness of fame.
