Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat
(2015)
A young Ashoka grows up navigating the treacherous politics of the Maurya Empire, where court intrigue, rivalries among princes, and his mother Dharma's low social standing shape his turbulent early life. As he matures, he falls in love with Kaurwaki, a fisher girl, while also proving himself as a formidable warrior and leader. The series follows his long and conflict-ridden journey from a marginalised prince to the emperor who would eventually embrace non-violence after the devastation of the Kalinga war.
