The Command
(2018)
A Russian nuclear submarine suffers a catastrophic accident beneath the Arctic Ocean, leaving the crew trapped and fighting for survival as oxygen runs out. On the surface, naval authorities and government officials clash over how to respond, delaying any rescue attempt while the men below slowly perish. Based on the true events of the Kursk disaster in 2000, the film also follows the anguished families onshore who struggle to obtain truthful information about their loved ones' fate.
