A Brilliant Monster
(2018)
A struggling self-help author is revealed to extract his ideas from a grotesque supernatural source — a creature that produces literal physical inspiration on demand. As his career flourishes and those around him begin to disappear, the dark cost of his success becomes increasingly difficult to conceal. The film explores the corrupting nature of ambition and the lengths a person will go to in order to maintain creative power.
