The Mechanism
(2018)
A Brazilian federal investigator leads a sweeping anti-corruption operation targeting a vast bribery scheme linking the state oil company to powerful politicians and businessmen. As the probe expands, those involved scramble to protect themselves through political manoeuvring, legal challenges, and intimidation. The series follows both the investigators pursuing the case and the implicated figures attempting to evade justice, drawing clear parallels to Brazil's real-life Lava Jato scandal.
