My Friend the Polish Girl

(2018)

A documentary filmmaker becomes increasingly obsessed with her subject, a young Polish woman living in London, blurring the boundaries between observer and participant as the footage takes on a life of its own. The film uses a found-footage, mockumentary style to explore themes of identity, exploitation, and the ethics of documentary-making, as the relationship between the two women grows complicated and unstable.
