Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens
(2020)
A young woman named Nora Lin navigates adulthood in the Flushing neighbourhood of Queens, New York, living with her father and grandmother whilst struggling to find direction in her life. Her misadventures typically involve her cousin Edmund and revolve around her tendency to take shortcuts rather than face responsibilities head-on. The semi-autobiographical comedy series draws on the real-life background of rapper and actress Awkwafina, who both stars in and narrates the show.
