Rise of Empires: Ottoman
(2020)
A docudrama series chronicling the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II's military campaign to conquer Constantinople in 1453, depicting the fifty-three-day siege that brought the Byzantine Empire to its end. The production blends dramatic re-enactments with commentary from historians, following both the young Mehmed's strategic ambitions and the desperate defence mounted by the Byzantine Emperor Constantine XI and his outnumbered forces. The series examines the technological innovations, political intrigues, and pivotal battlefield decisions that ultimately determined the fate of one of history's most storied cities.
