Rapiniamo Il Duce
Directed by Renato De Maria (2023)
A group of opportunistic criminals hatch an audacious plan to steal a vast hoard of gold and valuables that Mussolini has plundered and hidden away in the final chaotic days of his regime in 1945 Milan. A Black jazz singer and a shrewd fixer find themselves unlikely partners in the scheme, navigating the treacherous landscape of a city caught between fascist die-hards and advancing Allied forces. The heist unfolds amid the collapse of Italian fascism, with the conspirators racing to seize their prize before the whole political order disintegrates around them.
