Bellas Mariposas

Two teenage sisters navigate a single turbulent day in their working-class neighbourhood on the outskirts of Cagliari, Sardinia. The elder girl dreams of escaping her chaotic home life and the poverty of her surroundings, whilst her younger sibling observes the world around her with curiosity and growing awareness. Through their contrasting perspectives, the film paints an intimate portrait of adolescence, family struggle, and the quiet longing for something better.
