A young Moses grows up as a prince of Egypt alongside his adoptive brother Ramesses, but after discovering his true Hebrew heritage he is exiled into the wilderness. Returning as a leader driven by divine purpose, he confronts the Egyptian pharaoh and demands the liberation of the enslaved Israelite people. When Ramesses refuses, a series of devastating plagues descends upon Egypt, culminating in a dramatic exodus across the Red Sea.
