A true-crime documentary series in which forensic genealogy is used to solve cold case murders and sexual assaults, with investigators building family trees from DNA left at crime scenes to identify suspects who had previously evaded justice. Each episode follows a different case, tracing the genetic breadcrumbs through ancestry databases to narrow down and ultimately pinpoint individuals responsible for decades-old crimes.
