A Sicilian literary consultant named Saverio Lamanna retreats to his ancestral home in the coastal town of Màkari after losing his job in Rome, hoping to write a novel. Instead, he becomes entangled in a local murder investigation alongside his eccentric and boisterous friend Piccionello. The series blends sun-drenched Sicilian landscapes with crime drama as Lamanna repeatedly finds himself drawn into solving mysteries despite his intentions to focus on his writing.
