A young man becomes increasingly alarmed when his girlfriend becomes deeply immersed in a live-action role-playing medieval fantasy event, and he ventures into the game to reclaim her. Tensions between rival factions of players and unresolved personal grievances begin to blur the boundary between performance and reality. The situation spirals into genuine violence with tragic consequences when one unstable participant can no longer distinguish the game from real life.
