Costa Concordia - Chronik einer Katastrophe

A German documentary examining the 2012 sinking of the Costa Concordia cruise ship off the Italian island of Giglio, in which more than 30 people lost their lives. The film reconstructs the sequence of events that led to the disaster, drawing on survivor accounts and investigative findings to explore how the ship's captain, Francesco Schettino, made the fatal decision to sail dangerously close to the coastline. It also traces the subsequent legal proceedings and the enormous salvage operation that eventually refloated and removed the wreck.
