About Me
George Maniadis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1995. He trained in the Aspa Foutsi Dance School, Diagonal Dance School and the International Baccalaureate’s Higher Level Dance Course. He participated in intensive training programs of Classic Ballet, Modern Dance and Jazz Dance in Brenau University, the Orlando Ballet School and the Ailey School in the US. He graduated with a BFA Honors from the Department of Dance at Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. During his studies, he worked with renowned choreographers such as Gregory Dolbashian, James Martin, Sean Curran, Cherylyn Lavagnino, and Vita Osojnik. He choreographed the film Owls, directed by Natalia Bougadellis, which was presented in the 2016 Short Film Corner Festival in the Cannes. He took part in the International Tour of West Side Story under the direction of Joey Mckneeley and the original choreography of Jerome Robbins during the season . He has also appeared as a lead dancer and singer in the Universal Monsters Live Rock and Roll show in Japan. He is now appearing as Alonzo in CATS, Ronacher Theater, Vienna.
